There is a well known quote from a couple of years ago that “The pace of change has never been this fast, yet it will never be this slow again.”
I think we would all agree that the events of the last 18 months and the impact of the global pandemic have seen us all experience an unprecedented amount of change in both our personal and professional lives.
While technology is always evolving and businesses adapting to economic, political and social factors, the effect of the covid pandemic if anything, accelerated the pace of change even more so, and to a degree that I’m sure no one could have expected.
While some change was initially reactive and necessary for businesses to adopt in order to get through the initial stages of the pandemic and national lockdowns, I believe the last 18 months have also seen many positive changes as a result.
How we operate at Scantec has changed in many ways from accelerating our move to hybrid working and the impact this has had on the work / life balance of our teams, our use of technology to drive efficiencies and update our practices and to how we are adjusting and prioritising our strategies for the future as well while enabling improvements in communication and collaboration.
Change can be difficult to embrace but after some of the adversity of the past 18 months, there are also a lot of positives to take away and there is no doubt that 2021 has been an overridingly positive year for us at Scantec. As we look towards the last quarter of the year, there is a lot to look forward to.
As Talent Acquisition Manager, the markets we operate in are hugely exciting and present fantastic opportunities for Consultants to join our business as we continue to grow and adapt.
I myself will be embarking on a whole new journey and a lot of change over the coming months as I go maternity leave at the end of this week! But as I adjust to a new way of life with (hopefully not too many!!) sleepless nights, I also look forward to seeing what new ideas, technology and change has happened in the business by the time I return next year.
In the meantime, while I am away, if you are an experienced Recruitment Consultant who is looking for a change of your own, a new challenge in a forward-thinking business, then please contact my colleagues on 0151 666 8999 to find out more about what it is really like to work at Scantec and the career opportunities we have to offer.
