Principal C&I Engineer – Urgent Requirement

Contract: 6-month initial contract (Pre-FEED & FEED) with follow-on work

I’m recruiting on behalf of a client who is urgently looking for a Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer to support a live project in Aberdeen. This role is ideal for an experienced design engineer with a strong background in leading FEED projects within the Oil & Gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Pre-FEED and FEED phases of Oil & Gas projects, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with project objectives.
- Develop C&I design solutions, including instrument specifications, control system architecture, and functional requirements.
- Provide technical leadership, guiding multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring integration across engineering disciplines.
- Manage stakeholder engagement, working closely with clients, project managers, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout the design phase.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of leading FEED projects in Oil & Gas.
- Strong experience in C&I design for offshore/onshore facilities.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, ATEX, API).
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive project success.
- Aberdeen-based or willing to work on-site as required.
