**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver technical excellence in the specification, production, and assessment of design packages for infrastructure.
- Specify reliability and operational constraints for infrastructure.
- Assess work control procedures for infrastructure maintenance.
- Evaluate infrastructure design, material state, qualification, and ageing mechanisms to ensure continued operation.
- Uphold a robust safety and security culture.
- Ensure safety-related contract outputs meet all requirements by acting as an intelligent customer.
**Essential Experience and Skills:**
- Broad experience in electrical engineering, preferably with exposure to HV/MV distribution, LV distribution, protection systems, C&I systems, electrical machines, frequency changers, and diesel alternators.
- Experience in the nuclear industry or other high-hazard industries is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to provide practical, creative, and cost-effective solutions for design changes and modifications.
- Strong understanding of British and international design standards.
- Proven track record of making intelligent, evidence-based decisions using various data sources.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritise workload.
**Qualifications and Training:**
- **Essential**: HNC or equivalent qualifications and experience in a relevant engineering discipline. Detailed knowledge of the Design Intent for Electrical Infrastructure in the nuclear or similar industry.
- **Desirable**: Incorporated Engineer status or equivalent experience and standing. Degree or equivalent qualifications and experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
This is a hybrid role with three days per week spent at the client site.
Due to the nature of the work current SC clearance, or the ability to obtain SC clearance, is essential.
