Requirement Engineer- SC Clearance- Contract- Hybrid-Berkshire- Outside of Scope of IR35

Due to rapid and continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Requirement Engineer to join a leading contract organisation, delivering consultancy services, Engineering solutions and site operations support to some of the UK’s leading Defence contractors. 

As a Requirement Engineer , you will be responsible for gathering, analysing, documenting, and managing the requirements of  projects. You will work closely with stakeholders from various departments to ensure that their solutions meet their needs and expectations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to innovative projects, and make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of the Project Requirements Manager to develop requirements deliverables aligned with the project program.
  • Analyse and prioritize requirements, identifying any conflicts or inconsistencies and ensuring they are resolved.
  • Document requirements in a clear, concise, and structured manner, using tools like DOORS (Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System).
  • Ensure compliance with the company's Environment, Health, Safety, Security, and Quality Standards.
  • Conduct rigorous validation and verification activities to ensure requirements meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
  • Manage changes to requirements throughout the project lifecycle, assessing their impact and communicating updates to stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update the requirements database with agreed changes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including system engineers, developers, testers, and project managers, to ensure alignment and coherence in meeting project goals.
  • Experience of using Systems Engineering management tools (e.g., DOORS, CRADLE, Teamcenter, etc.).

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Requirement Engineer or similar role in a technical environment.
  • Experience with DOORS software is Essential
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
